Philippians 3:20 But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ,
You belong. Do you know that? I mean, do you really know that? You are part of God’s family. You are a member of His household. You are an ambassador for His kingdom. You belong!
“For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God. The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, ‘Abba, Father.’ The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.” Romans 8:14-17
“Because you are his sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, ‘Abba, Father.’” Galatians 4:6
Take that in for a second … Let that sink in for a moment … Let your heart hear those words.
What does it mean to you that you are a citizen of heaven, a child of the King, an adopted son or daughter of God?
Have you really acknowledged your citizenship, your place as a child of God?
Do you live your life like you are related to God?
As you go about your day today, remember this, you belong!
