Galatians 6:14 May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.
Boast – Kauchaomai in the Greek, meaning to boast, to glory in, to take joy in, to rejoice over.

- What do you glory in?
- What do you take joy in?
- What do you rejoice over?
Psalms 44:8 “In God we make our boast all day long, and we will praise your name forever.”
Isaiah 45:25 “But all the descendants of Israel will find deliverance in the LORD and will make their boast in him.”
1 Corinthians 1:31 “Therefore, as it is written: ‘Let the one who boasts boast in the Lord.’”
We are to boast in God alone. We are to boast that He is all powerful, all knowing, forever faithful, on our side, greater than our enemies, that He has already won the battle, that He paid the price, and in everything that He is and does. But we are not to boast in our own strengths, in our own riches, in our own knowledge, or anything else that we do. This was a struggle for me until I realized that I bring nothing to the equation when it comes to God and His kingdom. So many scriptures start to make sense when you look at them in this light.
2 Corinthians 12:5, 9-10″… but I will not boast about myself, except about my weaknesses. … But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”
So, what are you going to boast about today? Let it be in what God is doing in your life today.
