Ephesians 1:15-16 – Thank God for You

How can you make it a habit to lift up those that have impacted you?

Ephesians 1:15-16 For this reason, ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all God’s people, I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers.

Who do you know that has such strong faith that it makes you take notice? For me, it is a friend of ours that no matter what is going on in her life, she always has a song of praise on her heart. Through good times and bad she is encouraging everyone she meets. Every Sunday there is a line of people that want to talk to her after church.

And who do you know that has so much love for others that it just makes you smile when you think of them? My brother-in-law comes to mind as he is always putting everyone else ahead of himself and including others, even strangers, in the fun. He’s others focused all the time. He’d give you the shirt off his back if you asked him for it.

Have you thanked God for these people lately? Have you prayed for them recently? Paul says that he did not stop giving thanks and remembering the church at Ephesus in his prayers. What keeps you from continuing to lift these people up to God? How can you make it a habit to lift up those that have impacted you? Make a list of a few of the people that have impacted your faith and thank God for them and pray for them today. I want to live my life so that I will make someone’s list someday. How about you?
