Proverbs 1:10,15 – Don’t Give In

Proverbs 1:10,15 My son, if sinful men entice you, do not give in to them. … my son, do not go along with them, do not set foot on their paths;

The world will try to pull you away from God at every opportunity. Don’t give in! People will try to pull you down to their level whenever they can. Don’t let them! “Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” James 4:7.

On the surface things might look attractive. What they present to you might pique your interest. The upside could be more than you would have ever imagined having, but … there’s always a but. But you’ll have to fudge the numbers a little. But you’ll have to lie about it to your boss. But we have to go at night so that we won’t be seen. Don’t give in!

It’s just a night out with some friends. We’re just going for a few drinks. She’s just a friend. Your wife doesn’t need to know all the details. What she doesn’t know won’t hurt her. It’s too late to go home now. You might as well spend the night. Do not go along with them!
