2 Corinthians 1: 5 – More than Enough

2 Corinthians 1:5 – For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ, so also our comfort abounds through Christ.

Our God is more than enough. You can’t bring Him something that He can’t handle. He has an answer to every question, a solution to every struggle, a plan for every situation. He is always in control.

I’ve spent too much of my life trying to figure it out myself. I try to solve my own problems and other people’s problems in my own strength, with human reason, with worldly means. In doing so, I’ve missed out on so many heavenly blessings that God has for me.

When I settle for my own form of comfort, I am choosing what is less than what I could have from God. He promises us abundant comfort for our sufferings. I too often choose my meager solution instead. He tells us that we are more than conquerors, I settle for just getting by.

I’m starting to realize that the more I bring to Him, the more I receive from Him. God’s desire is to pour out a blessing in our lives that is overflowing if we let Him. If we don’t settle for our makeshift solutions.

So, bring it all to God in Christ. Whatever you are carrying today. Cast all your cares upon Him for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). The result will be lasting comfort, fullness of joy, abounding love. Don’t settle for less than enough when He is more than enough!
