2 Corinthians 3:12 – Therefore, since we have such a hope, we are very bold.
It’s easy to be bold when you have a sure thing; when your team is undefeated; when you’ve aced every test; when you’re holding all the cards. In a sense, that’s what Paul is saying here. If the Law was accompanied by glory, how much more is the Gospel abounding in the glory of God and since that is what we’re preaching, let’s go for it!
Where does your boldness lie? What hope fuels you on to great boldness?
Or maybe you wouldn’t use bold to describe your actions let alone very bold. I would challenge you that you are bolder than you think. You are reading this to start. You probably go to church. You might read your Bible. Maybe you pray over your meals. You might give to charities. All of these actions are countercultural. You are going against the tide. You are showing yourself to be different than the world around you. Why?
We are not all called to be Paul the Apostle and preach and teach and write and lead. But we are all called to be bold in our own way, in our own sphere of influence. The Gospel message written on your heart can change this world. Be bold and let it!
