Colossians 4:7-9 Tychicus will tell you all the news about me. He is a dear brother, a faithful minister and fellow servant in the Lord. I am sending him to you for the express purpose that you may know about our circumstances and that he may encourage your hearts. He is coming with Onesimus, our faithful and dear brother, who is one of you. They will tell you everything that is happening here.
I love that Paul includes these guys in his letter. Not all are called to stand in front of crowds and preach the Gospel. Not everyone is an apostle, planting churches and leading congregations. Some are called to deliver the message that things are going well, to update friends on the status of things and how their prayers are getting answered.
Every ministry needs the guys in the trenches that are willing to do the grunt work, behind the scenes, unheralded, but faithful! Paul calls these men brothers, faithful ministers, and fellow servants. We all have a part to play in HIStory, our job is to be faithful to that task.
What is the task that God called you to be about today? Do you know what it is? Have you been faithful to it? Today is a new day. Ask Jesus what He wants you to accomplish today and then get to work being faithful to that task!
