Colossians 2:15 And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.
Jesus Rocks! He disarmed all those that held us captive. He went into the enemy’s camp and took over. Then he made a public display of them. Like the generals of old that would parade their captives in public humiliation, our King showed the whole world His victory on the cross.
When you picture Jesus, do you see this triumphal King or is your image of Jesus one of an emaciated criminal hanging on a cross? We serve the King of kings and Lord of lords. Jesus has been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Jesus is all powerful!
Close your eyes and picture our triumphant King leading a procession of defeated foes. Can you sense the power and strength of our God? Do you know that the same power that raised Jesus from the dead is alive in you? Can you feel that same power beating in your heart today?
We are called to live our lives with passion and purpose. We are called to go and make disciples of all nations. We are called to stand against the whiles of the devil, to resist him, to overcome him by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony. It’s not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit says the Lord. That same spirit lives in you and me.
Tap into the spirit that dwells within you today and go change the world for Jesus!
