Ephesians 1:4-6 For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will— to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves.
You are not a mistake! You are not an afterthought! We’ve been part of God’s plan all along. We were in His heart and mind before he formed the world. He loves and cares for you that much! How truly amazing that is. And He didn’t create us to forget about us and place us in the back row. He created us to show us off. You are God’s child and His love for you is complete in Christ. He takes pleasure in you as His child. You are the apple of His eye. You’re the star of the family. You’re the child that He always wanted. And all of this is ours because of His grace that is given to us freely because of what Christ has done for us.
How good does that make you feel? The God of the universe purposed you a long time ago and is excited that you are His. He longs for quiet times with you. He brags about your accomplishments. He has your picture on His refrigerator and in His wallet. He’s got that bumper sticker saying how great you are on the back of His car. His love truly is amazing! Thank you, God, for loving us that much!
What a great God we serve!
